| TPTE2 was originally reported to be a phosphoinositide 3_-phosphatase, like the tumor suppressor PTEN. Later on, other homologous phosphatases, such as Ci-VSP and Dr-VSP, have been described. These proteins are 5_-phosphatases. More recently, using a chimeric construct, we have shown that the catalytic domain of TPTE2 behaves as a 5_-phosphatase as well. | None |
